Prof. Ghada Abd-Elmonsef Mahmoud is an Associate Professor of Microbiology in the Botany & Microbiology Department, Faculty of Science, Assiut University. She obtained her M.Sc in microbiology in 2013 and her PhD in microbiology in 2016. She has authored/co-authored more than 70 scientific publications, 13 book chapters, 6 review articles and 1 book in the microbiology field. Also, she has been part of more than 80 workshops and training programs. She has reviewed more than 100 research papers as an academic reviewer in Nature Nanotechnology (IF:40), Advanced Materials (IF: 32), The Journal of Hazardous Materials (IF: 14.2), Chemosphere (IF: 8.9), Scientific Reports (IF: 4.9), The Journal of fungi (IF: 5.72), Metabolites (IF: 5.58), Microorganisms (IF: 4.92), The Journal of Applied Microbiology (IF: 4.09), Agronomy (IF: 3.9), Genes (IF: 4.14), etc. Her main research interests include the isolation and identification of different microorganisms, taxonomic ranking of bioactive materials-producing microorganisms, enhancement of the metabolic production efficiency of microorganisms, biodegradation of the environmental pollutants, functional impact of genetically modified microorganisms, molecular biology and metabolic profiling of pathogenic microorganisms, the biosynthesis of nanoparticles from microorganisms and their use as novel active antifungal agents.
