Dr. Asif Hassan Syed was born in Jamshedpur, India, in 1982. He received a Ph.D. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology in Roorkee, India. He is currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology at Rabigh (FCITR), King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah. He is an excellent teacher and talented researcher with more than eight years of teaching and research experience in bioinformatics, chemoinformatics, genomics & proteomics, and machine learning. He has produced many publications in the Journal of international repute and presented articles at international conferences. His current research interests are genomics & proteomics, medical informatics, and machine learning. The author is a member of the International Association of Engineers (IAENG) and a member of the following societies: (a) The IAENG Society of Bioinformatics, (b) The IAENG Society of Computer Science, and (c) The IAENG Society of Data Mining.
