I received my Medical Doctor degree in General Medicine from the "Iuliu Hațieganu" University of Medicine and Pharmacy (UMF) Cluj-Napoca, Romania. I completed residency training in Diabetes, Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases (DNMD), became Senior Specialist in DNMD in 2018 and Specialist in Endocrinology in 2026. I received my PhD in Medicine from UMF Cluj-Napoca in 2016, including an Erasmus fellowship at CHU Strasbourg, France. At the DNMD Department of UMF Cluj-Napoca I have served as Assistant Professor, since 2021, as Lecturer. In parallel, I practice at the DNMD Centre of the Emergency Clinical County Hospital Cluj, as resident and then senior specialist since 2020. I received the EAS Certificate of Excellence in Lipidology in 2025. My earlier research addressed advanced glycation end products, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein, adhesion molecules and ambulatory blood pressure variability in type 2 diabetes. My current interests include metabolomics of diabetes complications (neuropathy, sarcopenia), circadian disruption and social jetlag, dietary patterns and continuous glucose monitoring. I has authored over 30 articles and books, and peer-reviewed more than 170 papers, and is on the editorial board of several diabetes-related journals. I am a member of the Romanian Society and the Romanian Federation of DNMD. I received the UMF Cluj-Napoca Young Researcher Award in 2016, four Society awards, six UEFISCDI prizes.
