Dr. Pitchaimari (Mari) Gnanasekar is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at the FAMU–FSU College of Engineering, Florida A&M University (FAMU), USA. He received his Ph.D. in Polymer Technology from Anna University, India, and subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Toronto, the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST), and FAMU. His research focuses on advanced ceramic processing, polymer-derived ceramics, preceramic polymers, additive manufacturing, ultra-high-temperature ceramics (UHTCs), surface engineering, nanocomposites, and multifunctional materials for aerospace, defense, and energy applications. His work aims to establish structure–processing–property relationships to develop next-generation high-temperature ceramic materials and scalable manufacturing technologies. Dr. Gnanasekar has authored more than 40 peer-reviewed publications, with over 1,160 citations and an h-index of 19. He is the inventor of a U.S. patent application and has presented his research at numerous international conferences. He actively collaborates with national laboratories and industry partners and serves as a reviewer and Editorial Board Member for several international journals in the fields of ceramics, polymers, and advanced materials.
