Dr. Yassir M. Eltahir is an associate professor of Vet Infectious Diseases and Microbiology with a Postdoc in Molecular Epidemiology. Dr. Yassir M. Eltahir currently works at Abu-Dhabi Agriculture & Food Safety Authority, United Arab Emirates as an animal health expert and was previously the head of the Department of Preventive Medicine, Nyala University, Sudan. Dr. Yassir M. Eltahir's current duties include the implementation of livestock and zoonotic disease control and eradication programs, epidemiologic modelling, disease surveillance, one health, and disease emergency response and preparedness.
