Dr. Michael Rene van den Heuvel is a Professor at the Department of Biology, Biomedical Sciences, University of Prince Edward Island. He studies the effects of agriculture and chemical use on freshwater and coastal environments. He focuses on the endocrine responses, immunotoxicology, and population health of fish. His research interests include Environmental Toxicology, Fish Immunotoxicology, Fish Population Health and his expertise includes Immunology, Population, Reproduction, Toxicology and Eutrophication.
