Dr. Marco Antonio Alvarez-Perez is a professor and researcher at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Laboratorio de Bioingeniería de Tejidos. He is also a supervisor of bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral students from the biology, dentistry, physics, and materials engineering programs. He works in the field of nanomaterial characterization, designing and developing novel multifunctional platforms such as spun fibers, porous scaffolds, and 3D-printed polymeric materials, for tissue engineering applications.
