An alumnus of the prestigious University of Science and Technology of China, Dr. Yanwu Xu earned both his Bachelor's (Computer Science) and Ph.D. (Computer Engineering) degrees with honors. He currently holds a Full Professorship at South University of China's pioneering School of Future Technology. He also served as the expert of the WHO Digital Health Advisory Committee. He is the founding chairman of MICCAI Workshop on Ophthalmic Medical Image Analysis (OMIA) and iChallenge, an international competition platform. He obtained 2023 Top 100 Benchmarks & Evaluation Achievement Award from International Open Benchmark Committee.
