Luisella Cianferotti graduated in Medicine and Surgery (110/110 cum laude) in 1996 and specialized in Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases at the University of Pisa with top marks and honors in 2002. She subsequently obtained the title of PhD in Endocrine and Metabolic Sciences. She was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Harvard University, Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston, USA) from 2004–2007. She is currently an Associate Professor of Endocrinology at the University of Florence. Her clinical and translational research interests mainly focus on rare endocrine diseases, osteoporosis and bone fragility, metabolic bone diseases, and other mineral metabolism diseases.
