Prof. Dr. Florian M. Wagenlehner has been the head of the Clinic of Urology, Pediatric Urology, and Andrology of Justus-Liebig University in Giessen, Germany, since 2015. He completed his MD and Ph.D. at the Technical University of Munich, Germany (at the teaching hospital Klinikum St. Elisabeth Straubing, Germany) in 1996 and 2006, respectively. His habilitation took place at the Justus-Liebig University, Giessen, in 2008, where he became a Professor of Urology in 2010. From 2008 to 2010, he achieved additional certificates for special urological surgery, urological tumor therapy and andrology. He is the Chairman of the working group of the UTI German guideline section and the working group focusing on urinary tract infections of the International Society of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (ISAC).
