Shelly Lawson is Lecturer of Cancer and Bone in the Department of Oncology and Metabolism, University of Sheffield, UK where she leads the Sheffield Myeloma Research Team. Dr Lawson has over 15 years research experience and knowledge in the field of multiple myeloma. Her current work focuses on repairing myeloma-induced bone disease and developing novel therapies to target dormant cancer cells. She is the departments Postgraduate Research Lead and a Module Lead for the MSc in Translational Oncology course. Nationally, Dr Lawson sits on the UK Myeloma Forum executive committee and the Bone Research Society executive committee as their Treasurer.
