Marten Beeg, PhD, leads the Molecular Modelling, Design, and Interactions Unit within the Department of Molecular Biochemistry and Pharmacology at the Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research, Milan, Italy. His research focuses on the application of computational modeling, biophysical techniques such as surface plasmon resonance (SPR), and machine learning to investigate protein–ligand and protein–protein interactions. A significant part of his work involves the design and evaluation of molecular compounds for pharmacological applications, including therapeutic development, diagnostic tools, and basic research on pathway modulation. Dr. Beeg collaborates on interdisciplinary projects that integrate experimental and computational approaches to address complex challenges in pharmacological research.
