Alina Szukalska started her scientific career in 2015 in the Advanced Materials and Engineering Group at Wrocław University of Science and Technology. She carried out internships at the NEST CNR, SNS (National Enterprise for nanoScience and nanoTechnology, Istituto Nanoscienze Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, Scuola Normale Superiore) in Pisa, Italy, in the years 2017-2019. PhD Alina Szukalska obtained a doctorate entitled "Light amplification in dye-doped liquid-crystalline systems" in the discipline of chemical science in 2019. In November of 2019, she started working at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology as a research assistant, Post Doc. Currently, Alina Szukalska
continues her didactic and scientific work at the University of Science and Technology as an assistant professor. Her scientific interest covers liquid crystals, luminescent and laser dyes, polymers, and hybrid organic systems created towards light amplification and stimulated emission processes. She is primarily focused on discovering suitable organic and inorganic materials for generating white laser light emission and white fluorescence.
