Carrying out my activity as a resident and specialist in medical clinics with gastroenterology and metabolic diseases departments, as well as the increased frequency of digestive pathology, allowed me to focus on researching the mechanisms involved in the onset, maintenance and evolution of these diseases. Of course, the vast field of internal medicine has allowed me to be involved in research and other mechanisms involved in the development of lung, cardiovascular, rheumatological and metabolic diseases. Academic activity will focus on identifying, developing and implementing innovative methods of communication and teaching that will allow the accumulation in a short time of new and useful information necessary for the further development of skills for research and education, so as to create an appropriate and stimulating academic environment for students, doctoral students, resident doctors and specialist doctors. The professional activity will have as its main direction of development the acquisition of new skills necessary for the use of ultrasonographic and endoscopic imaging diagnostic devices but will also be therapeutic to avoid the inherent ambiguities that may occur in cases with multiple pathologies. My main future research directions will focus on the study and elucidation of the pathophysiological mechanisms of diseases, especially those that cause the development of malignancy at this level so that effective screening programs can be developed to prevent tumors.
