Prof. Dr. Liang Qin is currently the Deputy Director of the Institute of Power Electronics and Electrical Machinery at Wuhan University and the Deputy Director of the Hubei Provincial Key Laboratory of Comprehensive Energy Power Equipment and System Safety. He obtained a Ph.D. in Power Systems and Automation from Wuhan University in 2008. He won first prize in the 8th Hubei Province Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award, second prize in the 2022 Electric Power Science and Technology Award for Technological Invention, and first prize in the 2022 State Grid Corporation of China Science and Technology Progress Award. In addition, he was one of the top ten reviewers for High Voltage Technology in 2021 and an outstanding reviewer for multiple EI journals. His research focuses on the analysis and control of power electronic power systems (flexible DC systems, renewable energy generation), artificial intelligence analysis, and control based on big data mining.
