Wayan Darmawan is a full professor at the Department of Forest Products, Faculty of Forestry and Environment, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB University) since 2012. He received his PhD at the University of Shimane, Japan in 2000. He continued his post-doctoral study at the Ecole Nasionale Superior de Art et Metier, France in 2002-2003. He was an Erasmus Mundus visiting professor fellow at Dresden University, Germany in 2009. He had been serving as Director of the Forest Products Department in 2010-2014. He has published more than 60 articles in the domains of wood machining, wood quality improvement and two book and a book chapters. He has been a member of the SWST since 2012.
