Ying-Mei Feng has been focusing on exploring the mechanism of lipoproteins and stem cells in metabolic diseases, such as diabetes and cardiovascular diseases, key biomarkers and intervention targets for coronary heart disease, and diabetic vascular complications. As an MD and PhD Researcher, Ying-Mei is good at epidemiological and clinical medical research (such as project design, database establishment, and analysis), which starts with key clinical scientific issues and research models that combine clinical and basic research. Ying-Mei has a basis of epidemiological research and has established a database of diabetes among the general population of Chinese and Belgian population cohorts. In addition, Ying-Mei has been cooperating with the Belgian Center for Hypertension and Cardiovascular Epidemiology.
