Giuseppe Guido graduated in Civil Engineering in 2000 and holds a PhD in Technologies and Environmental Planning in 2005 at the University of Calabria. He has been Associate Professor of Transportation Engineering at the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Calabria since 2015. His research interests include road safety, information and communication technologies for traffic analysis, intelligent transportation systems, transit systems, mobility management, and user behavior modeling. He has authored and co-authored more than 100 international journal papers. He is a member of the Cosenza Association of Professional Engineer, the Italian Society of Transport Engineering Professors (SIDT) and the Italian Association for Traffic and Transport Engineering (AIIT). He is co-founder and member of the Working Group on Systems Engineering for Infrastructure and Building Systems (Italian Association of Systems Engineering). He is Mobility Manager at the University of Calabria and the coordinator of the working group for sustainable mobility of the University of Calabria in the Network of Universities for Sustainable Development (RUS). He is co-founder of the academic spin-off Smart-Oriented Mobility Solutions (SOMOS), which is an innovative startup offering innovative solutions on IoT applications for transport and logistics. He has collaborated with public administrations and private companies for the development of projects in transportation, logistics and mobility.
