Prof. Silvia Di Francesco is an Associate Professor in hydraulics at the Department of Engineering, Niccolò Cusano University, Rome, Italy. Her main areas of research activity include the following: evaluation and management of the water resources with remote sensing techniques ; computational fluid dynamics applied to hydraulic engineering works and environmental flows; hydraulic risk analysis; Lattice Boltzmann Method for free surface flows.
