In this paper, a general class of delayed memristive neural networks (DMNNs) system described by functional differential equation with discontinuous right-hand side is considered. Under the extended Filippov-framework, we investigate the finite-time stabilization problem for DMNNs by using the famous finite-time stability theorem and the generalized Lyapunov functional method. To do so, we design two classes of novel controllers including discontinuous state-feedback controller and discontinuous adaptive controller. Without assuming the boundedness and monotonicity of the activation functions, several sufficient conditions are given to stabilize the states of this class of DMNNs in finite time. Moreover, the upper bounds of the settling time for stabilization are estimated. Finally, numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the developed method and the theoretical results.
This paper studies the fixed-time anti-synchronization (FTAS) of discontinuous reaction-diffusion neural networks (DRDNNs) with both time-varying coefficients and time delay. First, differential inclusion theory is used to deal with the influence caused by discontinuous activations. In addition, a new fixed-time convergence theorem is used to handle the time-varying coefficients. Second, a novel state-feedback control algorithm and integral state-feedback control algorithm are proposed to realize FTAS of DRDNNs. During the generalized (adaptive) pinning control strategy, a guideline is proposed to select neurons to pin the designed controller. Furthermore, we present several criteria on FTAS by using the generalized Lyapunov function method. Different from the traditional Lyapunov function with negative definite derivative, the derivative of the Lyapunov function can be positive in this paper. Finally, we give two numerical simulations to substantiate the merits of the obtained results.

In this paper, a general class of the delayed differential equation with a discontinuous right-hand side is considered. Under the extended Filippov differential inclusions framework, some new criteria are obtained to guarantee the existence of a periodic solution by employing Kakutani’s fixed point theorem of set-valued maps and matrix theory. Then, we apply these criteria to the time-delayed neural networks with discontinuous neuron activations. Our analysis method and theoretical results are of great significance in the design of time-delayed neural network circuits with discontinuous neuron activation under a periodic environment.
In this paper, a general class of nonlinear dynamical systems described by retarded differential equations with discontinuous right-hand sides is considered. Under the extended Filippov-framework, we investigate some basic stability problems for retarded differential inclusions (RDI) with given initial conditions by using the generalized Lyapunov-Razumikhin method. Comparing with the previous work, the main results given in this paper show that the Lyapunov-Razumikhin function is allowed to have a indefinite or positive definite derivative for almost everywhere along the solution trajectories of RDI. However, in most of the existing literature, the derivative (if it exists) of Lyapunov-Razumikhin function is required to be negative or semi-negative definite for almost everywhere. In addition, the Lyapunov-Razumikhin function in this paper is allowed to be non-smooth. To deal with the stability, we also drop the specific condition that the Lyapunov-Razumikhin function should have an infinitesimal upper limit. Finally, we apply the proposed Razumikhin techniques to handle the stability or stabilization control of discontinuous time-delayed neural networks. Meanwhile, we present two examples to demonstrate the effectiveness of the developed method.
