Prof. Zhanqiang Liu

Prof. Dr. Zhanqiang Liu is a Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Dean, and Director of the Academic Committee of the School of Mechanical Engineering at Shandong University. He is also the Director of Shandong Province High-Efficiency Cutting Processing Engineering Technology Research Center and Deputy Director of the Ministry of Education Key Laboratory of High-Efficiency Clean Machinery Manufacturing (Shandong University). He received his PhD from the Department of Manufacturing Engineering and Engineering Management, City University of Hong Kong (1999). From 1999 to 2001, he worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Mechanical Engineering Postdoctoral Station of Shandong University. He is a Recipient of the National Outstanding Young Scientist Fund, an Expert with Special Allowance from the State Council, and an Excellent Talent of the New Century from the Ministry of Education. His research areas include cutting theory and tool technology, functional structure design and additive manufacturing, machining process monitoring system development, and intelligent manufacturing.
