Prof. Andrea Zanella is a Full Professor at the Department of Information Engineering (DEI), University of Padova. He received his Laurea in Computer Engineering (summa cum laude) in 1998 and Ph.D. in Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering in 2002. He coordinates the SIGNET research lab and was a visiting scholar at UCLA (2000-2001). His research focuses on wireless protocols and networks, including IoT and smart cities, covering protocol design, optimization, and performance evaluation. With over 190 publications, he has served on the editorial boards of leading IEEE journals and contributed to the Italian National Plan for Research (2021-2027). Prof. Zanella has directed and participated in numerous national and international research projects, significantly advancing wireless networks and IoT technologies. He is a sought-after speaker and expert on smart city and industrial IoT applications, shaping the future of wireless communications and networking.
