Izabela Betlej is an employee of the Institute of Wood Sciences and Furniture at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences—SGGW. She defended her doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Wood Technology in 2011. Her areas of interest include wood-decaying fungi, wood protection, wood plastic composites, and lignocellulosic materials. She has published over 75 works, including one book, and holds one patent. She has received numerous awards and distinctions. Her teaching activities focus on wood biodegradation and wood structure.
