Bo Huang is a Professor and Director of the M.Sc. Program in Geoinformation Science in the Department of Geography and Resource Management of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Additionally, he is the deputy division director of the CUHK Institute of Space and Earth Information Science. His research interests are broad, covering most aspects of Geographical Information Science (GIScience), specifically: spatio-temporal image fusion for environmental monitoring, spatial/spatio-temporal statistics for land cover/land use change modeling, and spatial optimization for sustainable urban and land use planning. He has published extensively in the field of GIScience, including in over 200 refereed journal articles and the famous GIS book, “Comprehensive Geographical Information Systems”. Dr. Huang serves as the Asia-Pacific Editor of the International Journal of Geographical Information Science (Taylor & Francis) and is a leading Chinese journal in the area of Remote Sensing, Journal of Remote Sensing, etc.
