The adult, pupa and larva of a new species, Gnaptorina (Gnaptorina) lhorongica Li, sp. nov., from northeastern Xizang, China are described and illustrated. The species was identified using molecular phylogenetic analyses based on three mitochondrial fragments and one nuclear gene fragment (COI, Cytb, 16S, and 28S-D2). The taxonomic status of the new species is confirmed using a combination of molecular and morphological datasets. This study provides valuable molecular and morphological data for phylogenetic studies of the tribe Blaptini.

The genus Pseudognaptorina, with four described species, is endemic to the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau. In this study, Pseudognaptorina is reviewed based on a combination of molecular and morphological datasets. A preliminary phylogenetic tree is reconstructed based on COI sequences of four related genera within the subtribe Gnaptorinina. Additionally, the geographical distribution of Pseudognaptorina is presented. Six new species are described and illustrated: P. banbarica X.-M. Li, sp. nov., P. himalayana X.-M. Li, sp. nov., P. migana X.-M. Li, sp. nov., P. oblonga X.-M. Li, sp. nov., P. rectangularis X.-M. Li, sp. nov., and P. reni X.-M. Li, sp. nov. This work provides valuable molecular, morphological, and distributional data for the study of species evolution in the subtribe Gnaptorinina.

A new species of Pseudopyrochroa Pic, 1906, P. reni Pan & Young, n. sp., is described from the western region of Mt. Qinling, China. Larvae, pupae, and adults were associated using molecular phylogenetic analyses based on mtDNA COI barcode sequences. All three stages are described and illustrated. Additionally, preliminary phylogenetic relationships among five genera and 14 species of Pyrochroidae, including Pseudopyrochroa, are hypothesized based on COI sequence data. The fauna of Pyrochroidae from the Mt. Qinling biodiversity conservation area is discussed.

Osphya Illiger (Melandryidae: Osphyinae) as a species-poor insect group, exhibits a widespread distribution in the Northern Hemisphere, however, the research of the genus is poorly documented especially in East Asia. Herein, an interesting species is discovered in Shennongjia National Natural Reserve (Hubei, China). The examination of morphological characters and comparisons with others show it to be a new member of Osphya, which is described under the name of O. sinensis sp. n. The characteristic photos and a key to the species of Osphya from East Asia are provided. Meanwhile, the mitochondrial genome of O. sinensis sp. n. is sequenced and annotated. Based on this obtained mitogenome and the publicly available data, we reconstructed the phylogeny of Tenebrionoidea by different cladistics methods to investigate the relationships between the new species with others. The results consistently recover O. sinensis sp. n. sister to O. bipunctata (Fabricius) with high supporting values, which further confirm the placement of the new species in the genus Osphya. This is the first time reporting the genus Osphya, the only representative genus of melandryid Osphyinae from mainland China, which enriches the diversity of beetles from the Chinese fauna at both generic and subfamilial levels.

On the ground of the taxonomic revision of the family Meloidae Gyllenhal, 1810 from China and extensive examination of type specimens, the following new synonyms and combinations of blister beetle species are established: Zonitis bomiensis Tan, 1988 syn. nov. = Longizonitis semirubra (Pic, 1911); Schroetteria subpolita Reitter, 1911 syn. nov. = Megatrachelus politus (Gebler, 1832); Epicauta rishwani Makhan, 2013 syn. nov. = Denierella emmerichi Pic, 1934; Epicauta thailandica Dvořák, 1996 syn. nov. = Denierella venerabilis Kaszab, 1956; Epicauta mojiangensis Tan et Deng, 1993 syn. nov. = Epicauta makliniana Kaszab, 1958; Epicauta xantusi Kaszab, 1952 syn. nov. = Epicauta obscurocephala Reitter, 1905; Lytta badeni Haag-Rutenburg, 1880 syn. nov. = Epicauta sibirica (Pallas, 1773); Epicauta badeni sinica Kaszab, 1960 syn. nov. = Epicauta sibirica (Pallas, 1773); Lytta choui Wang, Wang et Ren, 2012 syn. nov. = Lytta suturella (Motschulsky, 1860); Zonabris calida var. baicalica Pic, 1919 syn. nov. = Mylabris aulica Ménétriés, 1832; Zonitomorpha kimi (Kôno, 1936) comb. nov.; Zonitomorpha miwai (Kôno, 1936) comb. nov.; Zonitoschema fuscimembris (Fairmaire, 1886) comb. nov. Furthermore, Zonitoschema macroxantha yunnana Kaszab, 1960 is provisionally raised to Z. yunnanum stat. nov. A lectotype is designated for Zonitoschema fuscimembris. Six new Chinese province records of five species (Denierella emmerichi, Epicauta obscurocephala, Epicauta sibirica, Lytta suturella, and Mylabris aulica) are reported. Illustrations are provided for 21 type specimens, the aedeagus of two Zonitoschema species, and the antennomere XI of two Mylabris species.
