Prof. Marcin Smiglak has been associated with PPNT since 2012, as the head of the Materials Synthesis Team. He obtained his PhD in chemistry in 2007 at the University of Alabama in the USA. He has specialized in ionic liquids and their applications for over 15 years. He is the author of more than 70 publications in specialist journals, and a co-author on 8 patents. He has received many awards in the field of chemistry and industry, including the Polish Product of the Future Laureate in 2019 for his original idea of the Ilagro plant resistance inducer. Dr. Smiglak has managed 20 research projects with a total amount of funding at 19 million. Since 2018, he has served as President of the PPNT spin-off company, Innosil.
