Mousa Alreshidi is an associate professor, and was the head of the biology department at the University of Hail from 2016 until 2021. He continues to be active in research in the field of medicinal plants, pathogenic microorganisms, metabolomics and proteomics. He has published some 60 papers in very high-impact journals. He obtained his MSc and his PhD from the University of Newcastle, Australia. He returned to the University of Hail in 2015 with the goal of researching natural products extracted from regional plants and Red Sea algae, aiming to discover new bioactive molecules with potential for treating diseases.
