Dr. Ilias P. Vlachos is currently a full professor in Supply-Chain Management at the Excelia Business School, France. Prof. Vlachos has over 20 years in academia. Ilias has extensive experience working with top UK and global universities, Prof. Vlachos holds a PhD from Cranfield University, UK, where he studied with a full scholarship from the Greek government. Prof. Vlachos has extensive research and leadership experience. Prof. Vlachos has published over 120 articles and studies, including 4* and 3* ABS journals. Ilias has supervised to completion PhDs and currently supervises PhDs in topics relevant to operations and supply-chain management. Prof. Vlachos has extensive experience working with leading companies in food, agriculture, and other industries. He regularly educates executives on topics including lean thinking, supply-chain strategy, supply-chain resilience, the use of IT/ERP technologies, innovations, sustainability in supply chains, and more. Prof. Vlachos is a member of the European Technology Platform ´Food for Life´, a Scientific Working Group on Sustainable Food Processing and Packaging that works closely with the European Commission and key partners of the EU food industry to shape the Strategic Research Agenda that promotes innovation in Europe. Prof. Vlachos also advises the OECD's International Transport Forum (Paris, France) on topics such as the Resilience of Multimodal Supply Chains.
