Furhan Iqbal is working as an associate professor of zoology at Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, Pakistan. One of his key research interests is ticks and tick-borne diseases in ruminants in Pakistan. He has published several papers reporting the presence of several Babesia, Theileria, and Anaplasma species in ovine and bovine species from Pakistan. He is also working on the phylogenetic origin of these pathogens in collaboration with key parasitologists from around the world.
