Dr. Yanqi Yang

Yangqi Yang is an Associate Professor in Orthodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Hong Kong. She holds a BDS, MOrth RCS (Edin), PhD, and FDS RCS (Edin). Dr. Yang has over 14 years of experience in academia, starting as a Lecturer in Orthodontist at Peking University School of Stomatology from 2003 to 2007. She then became an Assistant Professor in Orthodontics at the University of Hong Kong from 2007 to 2017 and is now an Associate Professor in the same field since 2017. Her research interests include the mechanism of orthodontic tooth movement, bone biology, and periodontal tissue remodeling. Dr. Yang has received several prizes and awards for her research, including the IADR GC Centennial Research Grant, the IADR Consortium for Translational Orthodontic Research Award in Orthodontic Research, and the Best Poster Award at various international dental expos and symposiums. She is also an editorial board member of several dental journals.
