Prof. Dr. Georgina Miranda is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Materials and Ceramic Engineering, University of Aveiro and member of CICECO, Aveiro Institute of Materials. Her expertise spans a wide range of advanced materials topics, but she is highly devoted to multi-material and multi-functional designs and their fabrication using innovative technologies as additive manufacturing and laser modification strategies, not excluding the combination of conventional fabrication with novel approaches. With a strong focus on applied science, she leads the Laboratory of Materials Design and Fabrication at University of Aveiro, gathering post-docs, PhD students and MSc students. Prof. Miranda has authored over 110 papers in scientific journals SCOPUS indexed (h-index 31) and leads three FCT-funded projects on Additive Manufacturing. Prof. Miranda is included on the Stanford University-Elsevier Ranking of Top 2% Top-cited Researchers (2021, 2022 and 2023).
