Nicholas Fantuzzi got his master’s degree in civil engineering at the University of Bologna in 2009 and he received his PhD in Structural Engineering and Hydraulics at University of Bologna in 2013. From 2013 to 2017, he was a Research Fellow and Adjunct Professor, from Jun 2017 to Nov 2018 he was a Junior Assistant Professor (RTD-A), and from Dec 2018 to Oct 2021 he was a Senior Assistant Professor (RTD-B) at University of Bologna. Since Nov 2021, he is an Associate Professor in University of Bologna. His research topics are in the area of structural theories and mechanics of solids. In particular, his research focuses on composite laminated structures and innovative materials. Other research interests are fracture mechanics and crack propagation and initiation in metallic and composite materials.
