Dr. Amin Abbasi is a postdoctoral researcher at the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), Ireland. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (Malaysia), where his research focused on sulfur-based polymers for environmental applications. He also holds an M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering (Polymer Engineering) and a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering. Dr. Abbasi's work bridges polymer science and engineering, with a focus on advanced composites, green and sustainable materials, and optimization of polymer processing. He has authored over 20 peer-reviewed journal articles, multiple book chapters, and conference papers. His contributions have earned him awards such as the Publication Excellence Award and a Silver Medal at TLIF 2021. Dr. Abbasi has extensive expertise in polymer processing, material characterization, and predictive modeling using ANN and DOE. He has also led or participated in several EU- and industry-funded projects involving polymer recycling, bio-based materials, and functional composites. He is an active member of several engineering and scientific associations.
