Dr. Karuppasamy Govindasamy is a Sports Science professional, researcher, reviewer, and Ph.D. research supervisor serving as Assistant Professor-cum-Assistant Director of Physical Education & Sports at Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Hyderabad Campus. He holds B.Sc., B.P.Ed., M.P.Ed., PG Diploma in Yoga, M.Phil., and a Ph.D. in Training Methods in Physical Education and Sports Sciences from SRM Institute of Science and Technology. He is UGC-NET and JRF qualified. His expertise includes Exercise Physiology, Sports Performance, Strength and Conditioning, Talent Identification, Athlete Development, Physical Activity and Health, Yoga, and Research Methodology. He has authored and co-authored 146+ Scopus-indexed research publications and developed academic collaborations with researchers from over 29 countries. He has contributed to funded research projects as Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator and actively supervises postgraduate and doctoral research. His recognitions include the Dr. M. Robson Award – Young Researcher Award for Innovative Research in Physical Education and Sports (PEFI, 2023) and the Subhash Chandra Bose Gold Medal for academic excellence.
