Dr. Mullaicharam is a Professor of Pharmaceutics at the College of Pharmacy, National University of Science and Technology (Formerly known as Oman Medical College (OMC)), Oman. Prior to joining OMC in 2007, she carried out overall administrative activities as the Principal of the institution in India. Her research interest is novel drug delivery, AI in pharmaceutical sciences, Phytochemicals. She has 24 years of teaching and research experience in the pharmacy field and has received awards at national and international levels. She was an elected fellow of the Linnean Society of London, (UK). She has received many research grants, including RG, TRC, and Oman. She performed as the management representative for ISO certification, India. She continued as the Institutional Coordinator for the National Board of Accreditation process. She has served as Head of Quality Assurance at OMC and she is currently the Chair of the Quality Assurance Committee. Currently, she is appointed as an external reviewer for the Oman Academic Accreditation Authority, Sultanate of Oman. She has developed many courses and received many research grants from TRC, HRD, and AICTE. She has a Google scholar citation of 438 and published more than 90 research articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented many papers at various conferences in the U.S, Oman, and UAE. She has authored many book chapters and textbooks. She is on the panel of the external examiner committee for PhD theses of various universities.
