Prof. Teresa Musumeci is Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Technology and Legislation at the Department of Drug and Health Sciences, University of Catania, Italy, since 2020. She graduated in Pharmacy with 110/110 and honors in 2001 (University of Catania) and obtained a doctorate in Biologically Active Substances Technologies in 2006 (University of Palermo). She is a co-author of 70 scientific publications in international journals and book chapters. Her research activity is focused on the preparation and characterization of nanoparticle systems for the delivery of different substances for overcoming biological barriers. In recent years, her research has focused on brain release through intranasal administration in order to bypass the blood–brain barrier.
