Dr. Jaya Kandasamy is an associate professor at the Faculty of Engineering and IT, University of Technology Sydney. He specialises in water engineering with industry and research experience in water resources, hydraulics, floodplain management, water quality, and pollution transport processes. He has obtained research funding from the Australian Research Council Centres of Excellence and national and state agencies, as well as international funding and fellowships from the European Union, Thailand, and the Mekong Commission. Before joining UTS, he was employed by the NSW Government, providing high-level technical water modeling capability. He has published 232 peer-reviewed international journal papers (citations: 8264; H index: 51).
