Catherine Hayes is Associate Professor in Public Health and Specialist in Public Health Medicine at TCD since 2011 in a joint academic service post with Health Intelligence in HSE. She received her primary medical degree from UCC and MPH and MD from UCD. Her research is focused on development, implementation and evaluation of interventions to prevent cancer and chronic diseases in vulnerable groups. She is Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland and Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health Medicine. She is President-Elect of the UK and Ireland Society for Social Medicine and Population Health.
