Eduardo Fernández-Martínez completed his bachelor's degree studies as a Pharmaceutical Engineer. Afterward, he worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a researcher on medicines design and pharmaceutical technology. Later, he earned both the Master of Sciences and the Doctor of Sciences degrees in Pharmacology. His research interests mainly focus on the obtention and pharmacological evaluation of synthetic and natural compounds as immunomodulatory and antioxidant hepatoprotective agents. In addition, obtention and assessment of tocolytic agents, which act by the same mechanisms of action as uterus-relaxants, have been approached.
