Dr Mridula Chopra completed her Biochemistry Hons degree and PhD at Strathclyde University, Glasgow, UK, and is currently working as a Nutrition Scientist at the University of Portsmouth, UK. At Portsmouth, she has been a course leader for MSc Biomedicine, Chair of MSc BOS and UAB, member of the Science Faculty Ethics Committee, and coordinator for several undergraduate and postgraduate modules. She is currently an editorial board member of several journals, a Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, and has been a member of The Nutrition Society and a Regional Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine. Her current research interest is in the field of diet and lifestyle intervention of diabetes and cancer.
She has more than 80 publications, which includes 43 peer-reviewed papers, 6 book chapters/letters to editors, and 39 abstracts. Currently, she is supervising postgraduate students (PhD, MD, MRes) in diabetes, cancer, and nutrition areas.
