Prof. Dr. Oliver C. Thamm has been a Chief Physician at the Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, Helios Hospital Berlin-Buch, Germany, since 2018. He studied human medicine at the University of Hamburg and Autonomous University of Madrid from 1998 to 2005. He has been a board-certified plastic and aesthetic surgeon since 2012 and obtained an additional qualification in emergency medicine in 2010 and hand surgery in 2015. His clinical interests include reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery, microsurgery, and body contouring surgery. His research interests are stem cell therapy for chronic wounds and registered research in burn medicine. He is a member of the German Society for Burn Medicine and leads the German Burn Registry.
