Xueguang Shao is a professor at Nankai University and the director of the Tianjin key laboratory of bio-sensing and molecular recognition. His main research areas are the development of chemometric methods and their application in analytical chemistry and the development of analytical methods for analyzing complex systems. In recent years, he has engaged in the studies of temperature-dependent near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy and NIR water probe for sensing quantity in aqueous systems and understanding interactions in chemical processes.
