Prof. Gerhard Rogler has been the Clinic Director and Chair at the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, University Hospital Zurich, University of Zurich, since 2017. He heads the Swiss Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) cohort, is a member of the International Organization of IBD Research (IOIBD), and is a member of the German Academy of Science (Leopoldina) and the Academia Europaea (The Academy of Europe). Since 2014, he has been a full professor of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Zurich. He has published over 650 scientific articles. His specialties include inflammatory bowel disease, mucosal immunology, colon cancer, and gut microbiome.
