Dr. Zhou Linyan is an associate professor in Faculty of Agriculture and Food, Kunming University of Science and Technology. Dr. Zhou received her B. Sc. in Food Science and Engineering from China Agricultural University, and her Ph. D. in Agricultural Products Storage and Processing Engineering from China Agricultural University. During 2012-2018, she was employed by Institute of Agro-Products Processing Science and Technology, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Since April 2018, she is employed by Kunming University of Science and Technology. Presently, her research focuses on the development of smart processing strategies using conventional and advanced food technologies to create healthier food products. Understanding mechanisms and kinetics of enzymatic and chemical reactions during processing and shelf life is a pre-requisite to assure the quality of food products. Linyan is a member of the Agro-products processing Standardization Technical Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture and Aural Affairs of the PRC, and a Professional member of Fruit and Vegetable Processing Division at the Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology (CIFST). She is an author on over 40 research publications and 10 patents.
