Raimonda Bogužaitė is a Ph.D. student at the Center for Physical Sciences and Technology (FTMC). She obtained Bachelor's and Master's degrees at Vilnius University, Faculty of Chemistry. Earlier studies included the synthesis and application of polymers containing phosphorus groups. Currently, her research areas are focused on electrochemical synthesis and evaluation of conducting polymers. During an internship at the University of Iceland, Department of Chemistry, she investigated the topic of selective receptors, and chemical receptors containing Benzene or BODIPY as the backbone were synthesized, which might be used in the future to help in diagnosing and treating tumours, illnesses such as breast cancer, and diabetes.
