Prof. Dr.  Al-Zamil Mustafa, MD, PhD, is a Professor at the Department of Physical Therapy, Faculty of Continuous Medical Education at Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University), the Editor-in-Chief of the peer-reviewed journal "Clinical Neurology", and the Chief Medical Officer at the "Brain and Spine Clinic". Born in Kuwait, he is a prominent clinician-scientist with over 25 years of experience in neurology, algology, neurorehabilitation, neurophysiology, physiotherapy, and evidence-based acupuncture. He is the founder of the Scientific School of Direct TENS for severe CNS/PNS pathologies, an expert in EMG and evoked potentials, and a pioneer in ultrasound-guided intraosseous lidocaine trigger point injections, parallelly conducting advanced research into acupuncture mechanisms. His academic output includes over 350 peer-reviewed works (including high-impact MDPI journals like JCM, Genes, and Healthcare) and 16 medical patents. Prof. Al-Zamil is a Corresponding Member of the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) and a member of the Russian Association of Neurophysiologists, having also contributed over 400 verified peer reviews for elite Q1–Q2 international journals.
