Prof. Dr. Yiyun Chen received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from Wuhan University in 2006, 2008 and 2011, respectively. He was a postdoctoral faculty member, lecturer, and associate professor at the School of Resource and Environmental Sciences, Wuhan University, from 2011 to 2022. He has been a professor and a doctoral supervisor since 2022. He was a co-research supervisor in the Department of Geography from 2014 to 2015 and a co-research supervisor in the Center for Development Studies from 2019 to 2020 at the University of Cambridge. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Anthropological Society, a member of the Chinese Specialized Committee on Soil Remote Sensing and Information, and a director of the Chinese Society of Land Economics. His main research area is ecological and environmental information and digital spatial governance.
