Nurhasni Hasan is currently an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Pharmacy at Hasanuddin University. She obtained Her Ph.D. at the College of Pharmacy, Pusan National University. From 2021 to 2022, she was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the same university. She has expertise in drug delivery systems, particularly in nanoparticle formulation. Her research interests are related to the fabrication of polymeric nanoparticles based on biodegradable and biocompatible polymers. Her studies also involve novel small molecules such as nitric oxide, which are incorporated into polymeric nanoparticles and have been tested for antibacterial activity, in vitro drug release, toxicity, in vivo wound healing, and many other cases. The in vivo wound healing study itself spanned from normal wounds to infections, wounds, and biofilm wounds in healthy mice, diabetic-induced mice, or diabetic mice. Her studies aim to invent a novel system that could be a promising approach for the treatment of various skin infections, as the prevalence of infectious diseases is increasing year by year.
