Marija Lovrić graduated in 2002 and earned her PhD in 2007 in Chemistry, both from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Science. She has over 12 years of experience in pharmaceutical and biotech companies mainly in the Research and Development and Regulatory Affairs. Also, at the University of Zagreb, School of Medicine she has worked on the EU FP7 Project where she was responsible for development of innovative biodegradable materials for stem cell applications in brain regeneration. Dr. Lovrić joined BIOCentre in April 2019 as Chief Science and Technology Officer prior to becoming Chief Executive Officer in May 2020. BIOCentre, Croatia’s Biosciences Technology and Incubation Centre provides infrastructure and services necessary for growth and development of the early stage biotech companies and builds a collaborative network between scientific institutions, academia, industry and individuals in the field.
