Prof. Dr. Hee Jin Cheong is a Researcher at the Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine, College of Medicine, Korea University (Seoul). She received her Education Doctor's degree in Medicine from the Korea University Medical School in 1990 and her Ph.D. degree from the Korea University Medical School in 1996. Since 2008, she has been a Career Chief Editor of the Infection and Chemotherapy journal in Seoul. She is also an academic member of the Korean Society of Infectious Diseases (since 2006), an editorial board member (since 2006), an academic member of the Korean Thoracic Society (since 2008), an editorial board member of the Korean Society Chemotherapeutic Agent (since 2008,) and a member of the Korean Society for Nosocomial Infection Control (since 2008). She has 264 publications, with more than 4900 citations (Scopus, 2 April 2024) and an h-index of 35. She has been listed as a noteworthy epidemiologist and researcher by Marquis Who’s Who.
